Alight

Daily rituals & acts of self care are the starting points for large scale change. Alight Incense donates 10% of their proceeds to a spectrum of progressive causes.















Identity


While we were trying to move away from more traditional apothecary or incense aesthetics, we were still very drawn to the idea of a formal seal.

While the logo is build to feel like a very traditional incense sticker, the typography was designed around the gnarled and curled left overs of an incense stick or lit match.






Packaging


The client had perviously released a a more apothecary driven product, and wanted to get away from the more severe, dark tones associated with that aesthetic.

We decided to lean into a highly saturated color palette and a smoke motif to make the product eye catching, and capture the multifacted profile of each scent.











Marketing


With each of the 7 scents donating proceeds to a different cause, it was important to make sure each scent had it’s own distinct color.  

Additionally, rather than doing a photoshoot, I built 3D models, each with their own shaped incense burner
